Solutions for a Growing Family...

I cannot begin to express the sense of relief and accomplishment that Carol has brought to my life! We are a growing family of four…soon to be five and needed to better organize the areas of storage in our home. Carol not only provided a plan for our task, but quickly and effectively helped me sort, purge and store our belongings. Our children had fun helping, too and found it rewarding to assign the best places for their toys and special keepsakes. I feel so fortunate to know Carol and look forward to working with her and Simple Organizing Solutions throughout my entire home!

Downsizing a Home...

Simple Organizing Solutions was the perfect remedy for our family. Circumstances forced us out of a larger home and into a downsized home closer to our children's school. Unfortunately, I was not very organized prior to the move and the move itself was quick and not planned. As a result, we ended up paying to move things (mostly junk) into a much smaller space. Our new home had only a partial basement and every square inch of it was cluttered with boxes, clothes, toys, old baby items, and decorations galore. We could barely walk without climbing over or stepping on something.

Carol and her organizing solutions provided the tools our family needed to get moving. Carol helped me clear the space of unnecessary items. We actually filled a trailer style dumpster twice....with just garbage !!! I also made at least 12 visits to the local Salvation Army Thrift Shop. Once we significantly reduced the pile, Carol worked tirelessly with me to organize the small space. We got rid of all our card board boxes and everything is now labeled in clear plastic totes. We installed rugged, easy to assemble and inexpensive shelving so that nothing is on the floor. All my household decorations are organized by season and/or holiday. Extra kitchen items which are too large to storage in kitchen cabinets are readily stored on shelving at the bottom of the stairs.

Carol provided my family and I with skills necessary to not only have adequate and orderly storage in our tiny basement but we actually have extra space. I was able to set up my treadmill in the basement and we have an area where our children can do homework, or watch television or videos. Carol's techniques are simple, effective, and inexpensive. Sometimes we all need a little nudge to get organized and Carol provided our family with the incentives to maintain order and minimize clutter. With her help, we also applied her organizing techniques to our whole first floor and we are currently working on the second floor. Carol expertise was invaluable and has made our transition to our smaller home much easier on the whole family. I have and will continue to recommend Simple Organizing Solutions to all my friends.

A Plan for Home Organization - "I can't thank Carol enough..."

Carol and I spent a long three days together essentially transforming my home. I can't thank Carol enough for the energy and thought she put into sorting, cleaning, purging and organizing every aspect of my house. Before this, I was overwhelmed and paralyzed by the "stuff" in every nook and cranny, with the effort needed to maintain my spaces, and with the lack of a "flow". Not only is the physical space sorted out, but there is now a flow and a plan that is efficient and effective - I love it and can actually stick to it.

I have lived with my "new" home for three weeks and without hesitation I can say the investment and Carol's efforts will lead to a real change in how I manage my house and my life.

For the first time in a very long time, when I come home I actually spend time enjoying things I like to do without worrying about all of the things I "have" to do . The routine is getting closer to a steady state: I'm still learning, I slip every now and then and I've made a few tweaks; but what a difference it has made to the way I work my house.

I never would have been able to get to this point without Carol's help.
